Bio: I have received my B. Sc. degree
(1987) in Computer Science and Statistics from the Athens University of
Economics and Business, my M. Sc. degree (1988) in Operational Research from
the London School of Economics and my Ph. D. degree (1993) from the Athens
University of Economics and Business (thesis: “Solution
methods for three dimensional assignment problems„ supervisor:
P. Miliotis). I have been employed in various companies
of the private sector (ORCO S.A., DIAS Interbanking
Systems S.A., etc.) Since December 1998, I have
been a member of the faculty of the Department of Informatics at the
Technological and Educational Institute of Athens. Since July 2007 I have
been a full-time Professor. I have also taught at the School of Social
Sciences of the Hellenic Open University (Business Administration Program,
course: Quantitative Methods, 2005 -2009) and at the National School of Public
Administration and Local Government of the Greek Ministry of Administrative
Reform and E-Government (course: Statistical Methods for Decision Making,
2007-2008). Here is a complete version of my cv.
Research Interests: My interests lie
in the area of Combinatorial Optimization, Constraint Programming, Integer
Programming, Polyhedral Combinatorics and Discrete
Algorithms. A large part of my work concerns Latin
squares and Assignment problems in general. Lately, I have also been interested
in the linear representation of Logic predicates and in the structural and
algorithmic properties of Stable Matching problems.
